The First Meeting of the New Year

Yesterday (Jan 6 US/Jan 7 JPN), we had our first Zoom meeting of the year.
Team mates joined from various locations, including Saitama, Hiroshima, Ehime, and the U.S.

In the afternoon, We visited the accounting office.

The SILENT FALLOUT PROJECT operates entirely on your generous donations, making the accounting quite complex. Starting this year, we’ll be using cloud-based accounting, and we received a lecture at the office. These meetings are held roughly once a week.

We discussed the director’s schedule and shared updates on the progress of various tasks. It looks like there will be significant developments this year. We’ll keep you updated as we have more to share.

The tax accountant has had a long-standing relationship with Director Ito and understands him well.
While discussing the categorization of credit card expenses, he joked, "Mr. Ito, you don’t have any personal expenses, do you?"

That’s true—Director Ito dedicates his life to this project.
Outside of his TV work, the office of “Hideaki Ito Office Co.”, he spends all his time on the SILENT FALLOUT PROJECT. Hearing their conversation, I (Haruna from the team) was reminded of how much support and understanding Director Ito receives from so many people.

Now, let’s go back to the financial story.
Given its subject, SILENT FALLOUT finds it difficult to attract audience. As mentioned later, the project is currently running a deficit of over 9 million yen. Despite the financial struggles (tears!), we are determined to continue striving for a brighter future this year.
We appreciate your continued support.

Feedback from the Screening Event, Thyroid Testing Edogawa Screening Event

🎬 On May 12, at a screening hosted by Thyroid Testing Edogawa, we received some feedback, which we’d like to share!

💭 "I had no idea so many Americans were exposed to radiation. I’ve always been concerned about the exposure of American soldiers during the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki."

💭 "This film provides no justification for nuclear weapons. It’s an important and invaluable work in communicating that nuclear weapons must never be tolerated."

💭 "I was glad to learn about the victims of nuclear testing in the U.S. and the health issues they face. I was impressed that the mothers' movement was able to move the President into action."

After the screening, attendees shared powerful words like "inform," "raise voices," and "never forget."

The feedback we received from the screening hosted by Thyroid Testing Edogawa was incredibly encouraging. Thank you…

Your feedback continues to inspire new awareness and action. Appreciated.
